Harry Charles is Britain’s Number 1 Rider

Harry Charles has reached a new milestone in his career, taking the top spot in Great Britain’s Top 10.

The League Table, which is updated monthly, is based on FEI results.  Harry, 23, previously in second place, leap-frogged over Ben Maher to stand at the top of the leader-board for the first time. He now claims 39 points in hand over second-placed Ben with fellow Olympic Tokyo 2020 teammate Scott Brash in third.

Harry is currently representing Britain alongside Scott at the World Cup Final in Omaha, USA, with the first leg taking place today (Wednesday).  He stands 15th on the current Longines FEI World Ranking List on 2509 points with Ben in 17th on 2471.  Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann is World Number 1 on 3410 points.

After suffering a bad fall at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Wellington, USA, and undergoing surgery on his shoulder, Ben is now on his way back to fitness and started riding again at the end of March.
