Jon Doney MBE – Funeral Details

The funeral of Jon Doney, who passed away recently after a short illness, will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 15 April, with just immediate family present in line with current guidelines.
Due to the present-day restrictions limiting funeral service attendance the Showjumping Officials Club, of which Jon was Chairman, have kindly notified British Showjumping that they will be standing as a mark of respect at midday whilst the service is taking place. They will also be joined by residents of Bredon village which was home to Jon and wife Mary.
Members of the British Showjumping Board and staff will also be standing in Jon’s honour and as an acknowledgement of his outstanding contribution to the sport.
The Showjumping Officials Club welcome others wishing to join them, to do so as a way of paying their respects and taking a moment of reflection.
Our thoughts are with Jon’s wife Mary, their family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
