Julian Mincher rides Double M Extrovert to glory in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Bury Farm

Last weekend, Bury Farm hosted a Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round, attracting 49 starters eager to secure a place in the Championship Final in August. The event drew a competitive field, with 23 horse and rider combinations successfully navigating CourseDesigner, Stuart Reeve Young’s 12 fence track, advancing to the second round. From there, seven pairs managed to progress to the decisive jump-off.
As the competition reached its peak, Julian Mincher and Double M Extrovert delivered a standout performance. Their final round, clocking in at 34.39 seconds, secured them the top spot. This impressive time was 1.20 seconds faster than that of Catherine Vale, who earned second place with her horse Quiz IV.
On-form Double M Extrovert, jointly owned by Double M Stud and Julian himself, recently won the Grade C at the Wales and West Show with jockey Thomas Pritchard, a victory that earned them a coveted ticket to the Horse of the Year Show.
Catherine Vale and Quiz IV have also been in excellent form, having won the Equissage Pulse Senior British Novice Second Round at Ponderosa just the week before.
