Mark Edwards wins the Winter Grand Prix at Bury Farm’s Winter Classic

This weekend saw the final Winter Classic of the season take place at Bury Farm Equestrian Village with the Winter Grand Prix taking place yesterday, Sunday 6th March. It was Mark Edwards from the Vale of Glamorgan who took home first place as he jumped a fast and accurate double clear aboard Flying Tinker II owned by Marlene Edwards.

Just four combinations cleared the 1.40m track for a place in the jump-off. Taking full advantage of his late draw, Mark put his foot down to stop the clock in 35.90 seconds, over 5 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.

Second place went to Phillip Miller who rode Don Royal to a double clear in 41.8 seconds. Joseph Trunkfield and Grennanstown Sarco Luxhill finished in third place with an unfortunate 4 faults in 34.69 seconds.
