NOMINATE YOUR HEROES FOR THE HORSE & HOUND AWARDS 2021 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NAF

Nominations are now open for the Horse & Hound Awards 2021 in partnership with NAF.

Last year’s successful online Awards achieved record participation, with nearly 58,000 votes cast. The Awards return in person for 2021, with a glittering ceremony planned for 1 December at Cheltenham Racecourse. Some 300 people, including Olympic and Paralympic superstars, will enjoy a glamorous evening of champagne, winner reveals and dancing.

As previously, the H&H Award winners will be nominated and voted for by our readers. The Awards seek to recognise both the big names who have made 2021 special and the unsung heroes who make it possible for all of us to enjoy equestrian sport and our horse.

Previous winners since the Awards launched in 2016 include six-time Badminton winner Lucinda Green, Olympic showjumping champion Nick Skelton, Olympic triple gold medallist Charlotte Dujardin, Tokyo team bronze medallist Lottie Fry, Badminton winner Piggy French and disability campaigner and amateur showjumper Evie Toombes.

H&H editor-in-chief Sarah Jenkins says: “After a year of virtual Awards due to Covid restrictions, we look forward to welcoming all our shortlisted stars, supporters and guests to Cheltenham Racecourse. Huge thanks go to our longstanding headline partners NAF, without whose support these Awards wouldn't happen, and to all our sponsors.

“Two years ago dressage star Lottie Fry won the H&H young rider accolade and this summer we watched her thrive on the biggest stage of all, helping Team GB to Olympic team bronze. Now that these Awards have become such a firm part of the equestrian calendar, we look forward to watching how our Award winners' stories play out over the years to come.”

Isla Boxall-Loomes, advertising, social and PR manager at NAF, adds: “We are of course delighted to be partnering with H&H once again for the 2021 Awards and we are excited to see who all of the shortlisted candidates will be, in particular for the NAF Five Star Magic Moment of the Year and the NAF Five Star PROFEET Farrier of the Year.

“After an unusual 2020, this year has given us so much to celebrate and we look forward to seeing some of these achievements acknowledged during the nominations process.”

Horse & Hound invites nominations in 11 Award categories before the deadline of 5pm on 30 September. Nominations can be made at horseandhound.co.uk/awards

The shortlisted candidates will be announced in Horse & Hound’s 28 October issue, with fans able to vote online from then until 4 November.
