Rebecca Mason secures top spot in Equitop® Senior Newcomers Second Round at Bicton Arena

Bicton Arena played host to this week’s Equitop® Senior Newcomers Second Round on Saturday, and it was Rebecca who took top spot on board Jenna Jewitt’s 8 year-old bay mare, Ogue Ardkyle.
Rafael Suarez’s course was set to test the starting field of 68 combinations, with the 23 riders jumping a faultless first round to make it through to the second round. Rebecca, from Stroud in Gloucestershire, kept a cool head to make it through to the final jump off along with seven other focused combinations. With only one of three triple clears, a lightning-fast and accurate final jump off meant this combination stormed into the lead, crossing the finish line in 42.21 seconds, over 4 second ahead of 2nd place.
