The British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifiers, held at Bicton Arena, was won by Ronnie Jones from Dunmow, Essex, riding Joplin I, an 8 year-old bay gelding owned by Ruth Dowie.
A challenging track in the first round saw the starting field of 57 horses and riders put through their paces. Only four combinations managed to negotiate their way around the track faultlessly to go through to the jump off, where Ronnie, put his foot on the accelerator to cross the finish line with a double clear in a time of 45.39 seconds.
