Stoneleigh Park Crowns National 148cm Champion Raphaela Dawson on Day Four of Championships

Day four of the British Showjumping National Championships saw the ponies arrive at Stoneleigh Park, with championship honours decided across a packed day of competition.
Raphaela Dawson rounded off her final year on ponies in style, claiming the 2026 National 148cm Championship with Maifield Another Sunrise.
The pair produced a superb performance over a technical track, finishing 1.58 seconds clear of the field. Following her win, Raphaela said: "She was second here in 2024 for my first time in the 148s, so to come back here and win it today is amazing."
She added: "It was actually quite good to see Ella go fast, so I knew what I had to do... she took a pull to the last and I know gizmo doesn't have the biggest of strides, but if I move him, he can take it, so we took one out to the last and I actually picked up a really nice stride to the water tray which I think is where I made up the time."
Francesca Finneran and For Joy claimed the Pony Newcomers Masters Title. The talented seven-year-old mare, by Double Pleasure, followed in the footsteps of her sister Halo Joy, who won the same title last year.
Speaking after her win, Francesca said: "She performed really well. I was planning to go for it a little bit."

Felicity Ashcroft continued a memorable final year on 128s by taking the Stepping Stones 128cm Championship Final with Trefriw Eros. She also secured second place with Parc Creme Brulee.
Speaking after her win, Felicity said: “He’s been with our family for about five years – he’s probably the cutest pony I’ve ever had, he’s really sweet, and this is my last year on him… it felt really good (to win).”
Sienna Rimes produced a blistering jump-off to claim the Stepping Stones 138cm Championship Final with Durley Hall Medici.
After Elsie Drea had led the competition with Dromore Hill Spirit before finishing second, Sienna delivered the winning round to take the title.
Following her victory, Sienna said: "I knew I had to go flat out and I think he did that, he was so good, he jumped amazing, and I really hope I can do way more with him."
Speed clearly runs in the family, with Sienna following in the footsteps of her mum, Angie Thompson, to produce a superb winning jump-off.
Amelie Bigmore and Derryinver Rocky claimed the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship, winning by three seconds.
Reflecting on the victory, Amelie said: “It feels amazing. I’ve been wanting to win a class at Nationals all year, and he just makes my dreams come true. I’m so happy.”
Team Bucking Brilliant secured the Team Jumping 90cm Championship, with Milly Khanna-West and Billy Can Ta Ta, Jazmin Angell and Just Call Me Dave, Victoria Buddin and Elilicious, and Sian Golding and Prins Van Veecaten combining for the winning performance.
Milly Khanna-West said: "It was an amazing feeling to win here today, as no win is an easy win. The surface was brilliant, the course was lovely, and the horses went great for us; we couldn't have asked for me."
The Cheshire Chicks claimed the Team Jumping 1m Championship after a successful performance from Leanne Bailey and Beatrix II, Amber Whitehead and Baileys on Ice, Isabel McCrae and Creevagh Junior Jones, and Holly Huyton and Dennistown Dorada.
Leanne Bailey said: "We entered by chance, we were jumping some Ariat British Novice and Nupafeed Discovery second rounds down in Norfolk, and we just decided, do you know what, there is four of us, we'll team up and give it a go, and we actually won the qualifier down there."
KANG Showjumping completed the team championship victories by taking the Team Jumping 1.10m Championship with Georgina Wood and War Horse II, Nicola Bartropp and Miles of Smiles, Abigail Groves and Elegant Dollards, and Catherine Mills and Wishful Italica.
Abigail Groves said: "Fabulous, we loved it, although two of us came from Surrey and had a horrendous journey here, taking us five hours because the M40 was closed... so thatwas pretty traumatic, so we wanted to make it count when we got here."
