Success for Guy Williams and Harry Charles at Hubside

Guy Williams and Harry Charles dominated the CSI5* 1.45m at Hubside Jumping in St Tropez, France, at the weekend with Guy leading the way on Rouge De Ravel.

Twenty-seven competitors came forward in this Longines Ranking class over a two-phase track and it was all about the clock as ten combinations provided clear rounds. Guy found the shortest route on his 17-year-old Ultimo Van Ter Moude stallion to win by 0.32 seconds.

Harry Charles, 22, was hot on his heels for second place with a new ride of two weeks, the 11-year-old Billabong Du Roumois.

“Today, Rouge is in his rightful place! It wasn’t as fast as it can be sometimes but we were ahead of the others and that is all I can ask for. Harry’s an excellent rider but today I was just that bit faster but he’s young and has many more years to win,” said Guy (photographed above).
