On Sunday 24 May, the Billy Stud will be holding their Spring Online Auction with some of the best homebred youngstock in the UK being made available for sale.
Renowned for breeding quality sport horses over the past two decades, the Billy Stud’s success is globally recognised as one of the best in Europe. Their success speaks for itself with many of their ‘Billy’ horses going on to prove themselves at top level Grand Prix and Championship level with horses such as the showjumping stallion Billy Congo, who won team Gold at the European Championships in 2013, being a leading light for them.
The auction which will see the hammer fall on the first lot at 8pm on the 24th May is made up of ten four-year olds; all of whom come forward with a sound bill of health and xrays available. Hand-picked by Stud owners Will & Pippa Funnell and Donal Barnwell the ten homebred AES registered youngsters are all extremely well bred and showing great athleticism in their loose jumping.
The Stud mainly use their own stallions such as Cevin Z, Billy Tudor and Billy du Montois alongside Billy Congo and cater to not only breeding the elite championship horses of the future but also horses with the potential to excel in all areas of sport.
