Returning to the private grounds of Windsor Castle from 12 – 15 May 2022, the Show will feature top-class international equestrian sport, alongside spectacular entertainment. The 2022 Show will be a particularly special occasion, with the addition of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration taking place each evening after the Show.

Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022 will host equestrian action across three international disciplines; Showjumping, Driving and Endurance. The CSI5* Showjumping will feature the world’s best horse and rider combinations across four days of national and international competition. The pinnacle event, the Rolex Grand Prix, will take place on Sunday 15 May, with competitors battling it out to win a share of the €500,000 prize fund. The 2021 edition featured a phenomenal display of sporting action, with Britain’s Olympic hero Ben Maher and Explosion W taking victory in their final outing before claiming the individual gold medal in Tokyo.

As one of the principal Driving events in the country, the CAIO4* Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix will also involve the discipline’s very best athletes. Made up of three stages; Driven Dressage, Marathon and Cone Driving, the competition embodies the ultimate test of horsemanship and provides an exhilarating spectator experience.

The Royal Windsor Endurance on Friday 13 May will involve competitors riding picturesque tracks across Windsor Great Park, featuring a variety of terrains designed to test the horse and riders’ skill and stamina. With international races at 1*, YJ1*, 2* and 3* level, over a range of distances, it will be a day of intense competition to determine the eventual winners.

The Showing at Royal Windsor Horse Show is considered a highlight of the national Showing season. The 2022 Show will host over 140 Showing classes across the five days of action. With a traditional entry total of over 3000, Windsor provides a great start to the showing season.

Alongside the world-class sporting action will be impressive performances from international military and equestrian displays, including The Musical Ride of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. In addition this year, ticket holders will be treated to displays from international performers taking part in The Platinum Jubilee Celebration.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the luxury shopping village, with an array of fashion, lifestyle and equestrian boutiques, as well as a selection of delicious food outlets.

Show Director, Simon Brooks-Ward, said: “The 2022 edition of Royal Windsor Horse Show will return to its traditional May fixture and is set to be better than ever. In addition to the elite competition and crowd-pleasing entertainment acts, the 2022 Show is hosting Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration during special evening performances in the Castle Arena, which is something that we are really excited about.”
