SEIB Insurance Brokers Ltd, is delighted to announce a new partnership with British Showjumping (BS), the official governing body of the Olympic sport of Showjumping in the UK.
SEIB’s new alliance with British Showjumping offers BS members the opportunity to access bespoke Sports Horse Insurance cover for Showjumping horses and ponies with an up to 20%* discount. With over 60 years-experience in equestrian insurance, SEIB have developed their specialist Sports Horse policy to meet the unique needs of valuable competition horses.
Another element of this new partnership sees SEIB increase their support of the sport of Showjumping. The insurer has signed as the title sponsor of the SEIB Big Star Young Horse Championship for the next three years.

SEIB’s Sport Horse Insurance for showjumpers is designed to provide tailored cover for sport horses worth over £30,000. The policy includes an option to increase vet fees cover up to £10,000 per claim, per policy year. Emergency colic cover up to £2,500 is included as a top up to vet fees. SEIB’s Sports Horse policy also covers repatriation costs up to £500 across Western Europe in the event of a horsebox break down. Post-mortem and disposal costs (up to £400) and clear-cut Wobbler coverage are automatically included.
Furthermore, when insuring with SEIB, BS members will benefit from the reassurance of an agreed value policy – meaning that, should the worst happen, there is no need to prove the value of your horse. SEIB’s expert team has exclusive access to specialist sport horse insurance markets and they can even offer options for horses with pre-existing conditions, or cover for areas of the anatomy that might usually be excluded.

The SEIB Big Star Championship is open to six-year-old horses and consists of a series of national qualifiers before the final held at the British Young Horse Championships at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead. SEIB has also for several years sponsored the SEIB Winter Novice Championship with it’s final held annually at the Royal International Horse Show.
