Anya Dewey-Clarke Does the Double at Aintree Equestrian Centre Small Pony Premier

Competition did not disappoint at the first of the 2026 Small Pony Premier Series at Aintree International Equestrian Centre. securing a coveted Agria Royal International Horse Show qualification ticket.
Saturday’s Winter 128cm Second Round attracted a competitive field of 21 starters, with six combinations advancing to the jump-off. Anya Dewey Clarke secured the win aboard Kilcreene Snap Dragon with a clear round in a fast time of 29.66 seconds. Alfie Bailey followed closely in second place riding Ice Queen TW, also producing a double clear in 33.82 seconds. Third place went to Kiki Arthur with Colliyers Pal Joey, recording the fastest four-fault round in 31.47 seconds.
Sunday’s equivalent 128cm Second Round Class saw 19 starters come forward, with nine combinations qualifying for the jump-off. Oakley Nash claimed victory aboard Sonic 1, producing a double clear round in a time of 31.94 seconds. Hector Condon finished close behind in second place riding Darth Moll, also jumping double clear in 35.45 seconds. Third place went to Oliver Browning with One in a Million IV, recording the fastest four-fault round in 33.44 seconds.
Saturday’s Winter 138cm Second Round attracted a strong field of 26 starters, with 11 combinations advancing to the jump-off and eight producing double clear rounds. Once again, Anya Dewey Clarke took the win aboard Fredaine De Blonde with a fast double clear in 28.19 seconds. Second place went to Alex Leggott riding Blossom’s Letterkeen Bettyn, also double clear in 28.91 seconds, while Eleanor Bastian Mason completed the podium in third place with Jimdone, finishing in 29.08 seconds.
Sunday’s Winter 138cm Second Round featured 26 starters, with six combinations progressing to the jump-off. Lucia Caroline dominated the class, taking first place aboard Chacha Real Smooth with a double clear in 33.58 seconds, and second place on Houla Oups Ed’s, also double clear in 41.63 seconds. Charlie Barker secured third place riding Another Barney, recording the fastest four-fault round in 34.11 seconds.
Saturday’s 128cm/138cm Handicap Special featured 16 starters, with five combinations advancing to the jump-off. Victory went to Rafi Johnstone in the 138cm section aboard BBS Sky High, producing a double clear in 31.67 seconds. Oliver Browning claimed second place in the 128cm section riding Tynwydd Alun, also double clear in 32.29 seconds. Third place went to Victoria Neachell with Warstones Choice (138cm section), recording the fastest four-fault round of the class in 31.37 seconds.
Thirteen starters contested Sunday’s equivalent qualifying class, with five combinations progressing to the jump-off all of whom were jumping in the 128cm section. Rosie Collins-Beech dominated, taking first place aboard Kilcranathan Princess with a double clear in 35.36 seconds, and second place on Sandene Sandstorm V, also double clear in 35.39 seconds. Third place went to Connor Barnes riding The Silver Horse, recording the fastest four-fault round in 44.43 seconds.
