New Indoor Championship Show – October 2020

British Showjumping are delighted to inform members that a new indoor championship show, to run between the 7 – 11 October 2020, will be scheduled to host a number of the National Finals which were due to take place this summer at the National Championships and also at Horse of the Year Show.

Submissions from Show Organisers wishing to host the show will be considered during the course of the next ten days with an announcement giving further information, before the end of July.

We also endeavor to confirm the qualification process and locations in the next ten days with the qualification period for it being from late August through to end of September. This will give members the opportunity to contest the titles they had been respectively focusing on during the course of last season.

The Championship Finals that will be included are:

Ponies:

  • Junior British Novice Final
  • Junior Discovery Final
  • Junior Newcomers Final
  • Junior Foxhunter Final
  • 128cm Final
  • 138cm Final
  • Leading Junior Showjumper Final

Seniors:

  • Senior British Novice Final
  • Senior Discovery Final
  • Senior Newcomers Final
  • Senior Foxhunter Final
  • Senior Bronze League Final
  • Senior Silver League Final
  • Grade C Final
  • Talent Seekers Final
  • Winter B&C

Iain Graham commented “We are all too aware how disappointing it would be if members were not able to contest the titles that they had been aiming for.  With this in mind, we trust that the introduction of a new show to run across the same dates of the cancelled Horse of the Year Show is a positive solution during these unprecedented times following a lengthy period of enforced lockdown and the current COVID-19 protocols that we find ourselves having to work within.

I am hoping that we will be able to give more details in just under two weeks’ time in respect of the venue and the qualifying process. But in the meantime, I would like to express our thanks for the ongoing support and understanding shown by our members”.
