British Showjumping Team announced for CSIO4* Wellington FEI Nations Cup

Following an invitation to compete in the CSIO4* Nations Cup in Wellington, USA the following team have been selected to represent Great Britain. The competition takes place between the 28 February – 5 March 2023 at Wellington International Equestrian Centre.

  • Amanda Derbyshire from Leeds, North Yorkshire with the 15-year-old bay gelding Cornwall BH, owned jointly by Amanda Derbyshire and Gochman Sport Horses LLC.
  • Grace Debney based in Massachusetts, USA with the 12-year-old chestnut gelding Agadance Van’t Gelutt Z. owned Temple Equestrian LLC.
  • Jessica Mendoza from Horsham, West Sussex with either the 8-year-old chestnut stallion OO Seven De L'equipe, owned by Caroline Mawhinney or the 11-year-old bay gelding I-Cap CL Z, owned jointly by Jessica Mendoza and Sarah Mendoza.
  • Sam Hutton based in Herentals, Belgium with either the 10-year-old grey mare Verona 13 owned by AS Trading, or the 9-year-old bay mare Melusina BVL Z, owned by AS Sport Horses.

This Nations Cup competition takes place on Saturday, 4 March at 16:30 hrs local time (21:30 GMT), while the Grand Prix will be on Sunday, 5 March at 10:30 hrs local time (15:30 GMT). The Chef d’Equipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with their saddlepads and rugs.
