British Showjumping’s Team Audevard announced for CSIO5* Aachen FEI Nations Cup

Following an invitation to compete in the Nations Cup at the World Equestrian Festival, Aachen (GER), the following team have been selected to represent Great Britain under the title sponsor banner of Team Audevard. The competition takes place between the 4 – 7 July 2024 at the CHIO Aachen.

  • Scott Brash, from Horsham, West Sussex, with either the 10-year-old grey gelding Hello Valentino, or the 15-year-old bay gelding, Hello Jefferson, both jointly owned by Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham.
     
  • Harry Charles, from Alton, Hampshire, with either the 14-year-old bay gelding Casquo Blue, owned by Peter Charles or the 11-year-old bay gelding Sherlock, both jointly owned by Peter Charles Stall Zet.
     
  • Ben Maher, from Bishop’s Storford, Hertfordshire, with either the 11-year-old bay mare Dallas Vegas Batilly, the 10-year-old bay gelding Enjeu de Grisien, or the 15-year-old bay gelding Exit Remo, all jointly owned by Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright.
     
  • Robert Whitaker, from Horley, Surrey, with the 11-year-old black stallion Vermento, jointly owned by Caroline and Stephen Blatchford.

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Thursday, 4 July at 19:15 hrs local time (18:15 BST) and the Rolex Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, 7 July at 13:05 local time (12:05 BST). The Chef d’équipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen forms the first leg as part of The Rolex Grand Slam Spruce Meadows, followed by Spruce Meadows, Geneva and ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Any rider who wins the Grand Prix at Aachen, Spruce Meadows and Geneva in succession will win one million euros in addition to the prize money on offer. If that same rider continues their success by winning a fourth Major in succession, they will be rewarded with an additional 1 million Euro bonus. Great Britain’s Scott Brash is currently the only rider to have achieved this feat in 2015, riding the formidable Hello Sanctos,

The GBR showjumping teams are also supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with their saddlepads and rugs.
