British Showjumping’s Veteran Squad announced for Veteran European Championship

The following Veteran squad has been selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI Jumping Veteran European Championships. The competition takes place between 11 – 14 July 2024 in San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy.

Meet the squad:

  • Tina Canton, from Nottinghamshire, with her own 12-year-old chestnut gelding, Bannagh Romeo.
     
  • Tamsin Conyers, from Norwich, with her own 10- year-old bay gelding, Westlife.
     
  • Jo Carlin, from Nottinghamshire, with her own seven-year-old bay mare, Mighty Mouse D’ilena.
     
  • James Loffet, from Gloucestershire, with his own 12-year-old chestnut gelding, Gaudi.
     
  • Nicky Hanbury, from Leicestershire, with her own 12-year-old bay gelding, Two to Tango.

The Chef d’Équipe for the Veteran Squad will be Mandy Frost.

 

Timetable

The Team and Individual competitions will take place on the following days:

Thursday, 11 July: Individual 1st round and Team 1st round – 16:00 local time (15:00 BST)

Friday, 12 July: Individual 2nd round and Team Final – 15:00 local time (14:00 BST)

Sunday, 14 July: Individual Final Grand Prix – 10:00 local time (09:00 BST)

Team Support

The GBR Showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with saddlepads.
