British Showjumping’s Youth Teams announced for Nations Cup in Lamprechtshausen, Austria

The following four youth teams have been selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI Jumping Youth Nations Cup of Lamprechtshausen. The competition takes place between 3rd and 7th May 2023 at Horse Riding Club Lamprechtshausen, Austria.

Meet the squads:

Young Riders Team

Jess Hewlett, from Oxfordshire, with her own 10-year-old chestnut gelding Ilmar HBC.

Sophia Kelly, from Stratford-Upon-Avon, with either her own 10-year-old bay gelding Rio Bravo Z or the 11-year-old bay mare Horinde H.

Tallulah Mackenzie Smith, from Wiltshire, with the 14-year-old bay gelding Quidde du Buisson Z, owned by Hugo Mackenzie Smith.

Red Morgan, from Cheshire, with the 12-year-old grey gelding Golia, owned by Didy Morgan.

Ava Vernon, from Lincolnshire, with the 11-year-old bay mare, Volnay du Choc Z, owned by Dean John Vernon.

 

Junior Team

Olivia Banks, from Chester, with the 12-year-old grey mare Geodina HS, owned by Emma Banks.

Poppy Deakin, from Newcastle Upon Tyne, with the 9-year-old chestnut mare Qlicious, owned by Felicity Deakin.

Sophie Evans, from Staffordshire, with either the 11-year-old grey gelding Hatzidee PR or the 11-year-old chestnut gelding CSIO Bel, both owned by ESM Equestrian.

Fergal Holohan, from Ayrshire, with the 11-year-old chestnut mare Kan Annie, owned by Fiona Holohan.

Noora Von Bülow, from London, with either the 10-year-old bay gelding Interstar B or the 9-year-old bay stallion Balinsky, both owned by Sharifa Al-Homaizi.

 

Children Team

Darcy Breen, from West Sussex, with the 10-year-old chestnut mare Kunis, owned by Lea Popely.

Emily Gulliver, from London, with the 8-year-old bay mare Fleur De Nuit 8, owned by Ben Gulliver.

Sienna Lanni, from Peterborough, with the 10-year-old chestnut gelding Bermudez BDA, owned by Jill Williams.

Ruby Payne, from Essex, with the 12-year-old bay mare Whitesparke Pepper, owned by Russell Payne.

Sula Von Bülow, from London, with the 8-year-old bay mare Billy Utah, owned by Sharifa Al-Homaizi.

 

Pony Team

Tilly Bamford, from Oxfordshire, with the 13-year-old dun gelding Lapislazuli, owned by Carole Bamford.

Georgia Cooper-Hall, from Cheshire, with 13-year-old chestnut mare Saxton Freedam, owned by Liam Hall.

Emily Fisher, from Berkshire with the 9-year-old bay gelding Kryptonite van Orchids, jointly owned by Keith Fisher and Karan Dawson.

Tabitha Kyle, from Leicestershire, with either the 13-year-old bay gelding Atomic Du Bary or the 14-year-old bay gelding Gangnam Style II, both owned by TJ Hall Limited.

Madison Seedhouse, from Burton-on-Trent, with the 14-year-old grey gelding Vaughann de Vuzit, owned by ESM Equestrian.

 

The Chef d’Équipe for the Children and Ponies Team will be Clare Whitaker.

The Chef d’Équipe for the Junior and Young Rider Teams will be Tony Newbery.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with their saddlepads and rugs.
