Equiyd announced as the title sponsor for the British Showjumping Amateur and Veteran Championship

British Showjumping is pleased to announce that Equiyd will be the title sponsor for the British Showjumping National Amateur and Veteran Championships for 2025, 2026 and 2027.

Equiyd is transforming the equine buying and selling industry from start to finish with a secure, transparent platform that revolutionises horse management and sales. Their platform provides a digital record for each horse, ensuring comprehensive tracking of care, maintenance, and transactions, while managing the sales process with a digital audit trail and secure payment handling. By enhancing traceability, protecting payments, and ensuring secure data transfer throughout the horse’s life, Equiyd are setting a new standard for the equine community.

The hugely popular annual six-day extravaganza encompasses classes and Championship finals from 80cm to 1.20m and is the pinnacle of the year for many British Showjumping Members. British Showjumping continuously strives to increase participation and inclusivity in the sport, with the introduction of the Amateur and Veteran Championships in 2002. This Championship show gives the membership an additional breadth of competitions with an attainable Championship final, allowing for a new lease of life for the ‘older’ graded horses that can compete in lower height Championships and another prestigious event in the Show Calendar.

Riders compete for double clears in the Amateur series to qualify to the second round shows or directly to the championship whilst Veteran riders, who are aged 45 and over, automatically qualify to for the Championships. It is at the Amateur and Veteran Championships that riders will compete against each other for the first three days in the hope of securing a place in the Grand Prix Finals held on Saturday and Sunday.

Fun classes, accumulator, the hugely entertaining Fancy Dress Pairs Jumping Challenge run alongside the more serious Championships, are a firm favourite amongst attendees with Aintree staff, judges and officials all joining in the fun.

Equiyd will begin their support of the popular series at this year’s Championship show, which will take place for the 15th year at Aintree International Equestrian Centre from 12th – 17th November 2024.

British Showjumping’s Chief Executive, Iain Graham, said of the new partnership:

We are thrilled to welcome Equiyd to British Showjumping as our title sponsor for the Amateur and Veteran Championship Series. Encouraging as many riders as possible of all levels and ages to participate in showjumping is an important part of what we do, and we are delighted to have the support of Equiyd as we continue to do just this.

“They are dedicated to creating a safer and more secure environment for those buying and selling horses, and we look forward to a successful partnership.”

Michelle Lea, Founder of Equiyd said:

“We’re delighted to be working with British Showjumping and coming in as title sponsor for the Amateur & Veterans.  As aspirational amateurs ourselves, we saw the championships as a perfect fit.

With Equiyd, we’re aiming to transform the equine industry with a secure, transparent platform that will revolutionise horse management and the horse sales, or purchasing, process.  By enhancing traceability, protecting payments, encouraging transparency and ensuring secure data transfer throughout the horse’s life, we aim to bring increased welfare standards to the equestrian community through a digital revolution.”
