Saturday saw Inchcoonans Equestrian Centre in Perthshire play host to a KBIS Insurance Senior Britihs Novice Second Round and it was Jennifer O’Neill from Newmachar, Aberdeen who eased into first place on board Funka A.
A strong field were all champing at the bit to get the action under way, as hopes were high of gaining a treble clear and a qualification spot in the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships this summer.
Riding Wendy O’Neill’s 11 year-old blue roan mare, Funka A, Jennifer rode two consistently fast rounds to gain her place in the final jump off. This pair then went on to produce another lightening fast clear round to break the 40 seconds barrier, crossing the finish line in 37.28 seconds.
