Wolsingham Show – Driving Even More Success!

In a major development for Showjumping in the North, Durham based Croxdale Group have been announced as key sponsors for Showjumping at Wolsingham Show (5th and 6th September).

Established in 1967, as a family business, the Croxdale Group have been proudly providing motorists across the North East with a range of services ever since. This year sees them partner with Wolsingham, which is one of the UK’s longest running Agricultural Shows in the UK.

Over the last few years, Wolsingham Show has established itself as a major fixture on the National Showjumping circuit, and with a prize money fund of more than £14000 this year, it looks set to continue to attract top names to jump in some highly competitive classes. Across the weekend, jumping starts at 1.00m, but it is the prestigious Grand Prix with riders vying to win the Earl of Durham trophy, the HOYS Grade C which offers sought after qualification for the Horse of the Year Show, and the lucrative Accumulator, that are likely to attract most attention.

This year will see the 246th Wolsingham Show and Christina Foley, British Showjumping Area Representative said “we are delighted to welcome Croxdale Group as sponsors of the two days of top-quality Showjumping that we offer at Wolsingham”. “The support of all our sponsors is invaluable in our efforts to continue to grow the Show and to attract the sport’s top riders to Wearside”.

“The involvement of local businesses is especially important to us, and in addition to the Croxdale Group we are especially grateful to Southbay Civil Engineering, the MGL Group, J Mulligan Skip Hire, Trevor Burns Fencing, Castle House Saddlery and Whitegates Equestrian – all of whom have generously supported classes to be contested over the weekend”.

Croxdale Group will be lending their name to the Showjumping Arena and will also have a tradestand presence at the Show. The Group maintains dealerships for a range of marques, including MG, Citroën and DS Automobiles, Jeep and Alfa Romeo, as well as Chery and Leapmotors. They also hold a stock of roughly 200 used vehicles – and if you need to hire a van – they can do that too!
