SCOTTISH OFFICIALS SEMINAR & EVENING SOCIAL 2024

All Scottish Officials were invited by the Scottish Committee to attend a networking event on 21st February 2024 at Glenbervie House Hotel.

40 Officials attended the day, which consisted of an afternoon seminar followed by a social evening.

It was a very informative day which included a British Showjumping update from Michael Bainbridge, followed by a variety of discussions on relevant topics giving our Officials the chance to exchange ideas and improvements within their roles.

Jane Pelly was applauded for receiving the Ryan’s Son Trophy, which is presented annually at the London International Horse Show by Clare and John Whitaker, in recognition of those who have made a significant contribution to the sport of showjumping.

A presentation was made to Course Designer Robert Canney on his retirement after 40 years in the sport. Shaun Sands said a few words and Robert was presented with a beautiful bronze horse statue, a voucher for a stay at Linda Lucey’s fabulous Longriggs Lodges, a beautiful rosette from Deebees Rosettes and a bottle of whisky.
