Ella Kay claims her third major title at the London International Horse Show

Ella Kay made it three major titles for 2023 with victory in the Littleton Manor Equestrian 128cm Championship on Red Alert III – winner at HOYS and the National 128cm title at the British Showjumping National Championships.
Eight of the original 12 made it into the jump-off with initial clears but no-one was a match for Ella as she navigated slick, tight lines with confidence and flair aboard the 20-year-old mare Red Alert to command the win by 1.39 seconds. Annabel Widdowson and her Royal International, Hickstead, winner Bunbury Conquest chased hard to take second place and Lucia Caroline filled third spot on Living The Dream.
“My pony is incredible, she really helped me out. In the jump-off I just went for it and thought to myself, if I have a pole, then I have a pole [down]. It was my last competition with her as I’m 12 [and out of 128cm] so to win here was amazing,” said Ella. “In the yard, she knows she is better than anyone else – she is so special.”
