Georgia Lovett wins the SEIB Winter Novice at Solihull Riding Club

Solihull Riding Club held their leg of the Winter Classic series this weekend, with the SEIB Winter Novice taking place on Sunday 6th February. Forty-six combinations came forward to tackle the first round, set by course builder, Lisa Kelly, but it was locally based Georgia Lovett who took the honours aboard her own 6-year-old bay mare Lola Caterina, whom she has been producing to this level over the last eighteen months.

With twenty-five combinations clear in the first round and proceeding to the final round, speed and accuracy were the key ingredients to this jump-off. Just eight combinations finished double clear, with Georgia and Lola Caterina getting the perfect balance to stop the clock at 35.89 seconds.

Closely following in second place was Ashlee Silk-Jones and G.T Exclusive, owned by Jacqueline Jones, who secure the second qualifying place with a double clear in 36.80 seconds. Third place went to Emma Sargeant and Mark Holland’s Cancellara Z with a double clear in 38.79 seconds.
