Lois Logan steals the show in the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship Final

Oreo Patches steals the show with rider Lois Logan from High Wycombe to take the title of Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Champion on Day 3 of the 2021 British Showjumping National & Academy Championships.

The pair have had a successful week, winning the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship Final on Tuesday, and receiving their HOYS qualification in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Masters yesterday.

Asked about her tactics going into the jump off, Lois said: “We just went in there like “we can do this’’, and we could! I knew he could easily make the time, and I didn’t want to run him into the ground after we’ve had such a good week, so I just wanted to finish on a nice, controlled round.”

Oreo Patches will now enjoy a week off in the field, before starting his HOYS preparation, where he is sure to thrive with his love of pressure and a big atmosphere.

The jump off was close fought, with only 0.15s between first and second place. Rosie Walker riding Aldo De Brias came in second, with Amy Cass riding Gortahork Maeve in third.
