Nine 6-year-olds qualify for the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship at Arena UK

The final 6-year-old qualifier for the 2023 season held at Arena UK’s summer second round spectacular provided nine talented and consistent finalists for the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship at the British Showjumping National Championships, Stoneleigh, in August.
Forty-four 6-year-olds initially came forward over an 11-fence 1.20m – 1.25m course with 22 producing round one clears. Thirteen posted a clean round second time out to proceed to round three. Nine supplied the required treble clear to qualify for the Prestige Italia Big Star Final at the British Showjumping National Championships, Stoneleigh, in August.
They are: Joe Trunkfield on Corvette VH Reukenis Z (Cicero Z x Corland), Max Routledge with Me The Rebel RT (Cornet Obolensky x Baloubet Du Rouet) and Mister Jones IV (Comme Il Faut x Quinta Real), Michael Jones riding the Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve x President stallion Ramses Van Het Bekelhof, Harry Bateman’s the Obos Quality 004 x Canturano mare WSH Quality Canturano, Katie Speller on BE Warnham (Cuick Star Cervec x Andiamo), Thomas Pritchard aboard FS Warriors Quest (Noble Warrior x Quick Star), Anna Strawson’s RRH Out of the Blue (Plot Blue x Siec Livello) and Nicole Pavitt with the German-bred Cornet Obolensky gelding Cornet of Follyfoot.
The nine latest clean-jumping horses now join the 13 talented already qualified 6-year-olds for an exciting Prestige Italia Big Star Championship Final to crown the leading 6-year-old of 2023.
