Notice for Horses travelling to the Spring MET III Tour, Spain

The show organisers of the Spring Met III tour in Oliva Nova have, following special recommendations communicated by the Spanish Equestrian Federation, advised competitors to avoid travelling to the show.

Taking into account the added risk incurred at stopover stables it was felt the only advice to give at this point in time was to not start your trip at the moment.

The Organising Committee will consult the national authorities and also the FEI tomorrow, Monday 1st March, to make a final decision regarding the Spring met III tour.  An update will be issued once further information becomes available.

Also please note that no new horses can arrive or be admitted at the MET facilities in the meantime.

The show organisers express their understanding that this is a challenging time for everyone and should those who have entered they are available have any further questions they have been asked to contact the show office via the details give in the show schedule.

British Showjumping, having taken veterinary advice and being aware of outbreaks now occurring in additional countries to Spain, recommend their members do not travel across Europe at this point in time.
