Victory for Harry Wood in the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Morris Equestrian Centre

The SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier held at Morris Equestrian Centre on Sunday was won by Harry Wood, riding his own ESI Lucius.

In total, 43 horse and rider combinations came forward to contend the second SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier of the season. Eighteen combinations jumped clear, progressing into what promised to be an exciting jump off. Last to go, Harry (from Stockton-On-Tees, Cleveland) entered the arena in ESI Lucius knowing only a quick clear round would be good enough to take top spot. Riding tight turns and taking a stride out to the final fence, he piloted the five-year-old grey stallion around the course for a double clear. They stopped the clock at an impressive time of 32.35 seconds, 0.34 seconds ahead of Robert Murphy and Twist Again I who finished in second place.
