Chard Equestrian Bristol & Somerset U21 Academy / Bristol & Somerset Senior Academy
All bookings must be made via the online booking system Horse Monkey complete with payment, if you are unable to attend the session you will be issued a full refund IF you have cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice or if we are able to fill your space.
Chard Equestrian Centre have been the title sponsor of the Bristol & Somerset Academy since January 2015 - see press release - Jane Gregory & her team have been striving to make this showground one of the best within the South West with new facilities being added all the time, and we are thrilled to have them sponsor the Academy & have the opportunity to hold our Area show there.
Academy Training is open to all members & non-members.
Non British Showjumping members are welcome taking part in training should be listed as web members with British Showjumping.

Along with supporting our members in helping them fulfill their achievements, the academy is working to get all Members (Junior & Seniors) working through the British Showjumping NAF Five Star Performance Awards. Each Level needs to be signed off by a British Showjumping Coach, as each member will receive a certificate and badge as they pass each level, as well as NAF products and merchandise.
Senior Members have additional rewards, each member who achieves Level 3 are also entitled to 6 Months FREE MEMBERSHIP, with a further 6 Months Free Membership upon completion of Level 4 and a Full Years Membership upon completion of Level 5.
Academy Members get the chance to become a NAF Shining Star, Nominations are made via your Lead Coach, which gives you the chance to receive NAF Products and Merchandise and appear on British Showjumping website and within the bi-monthly magazine.

In order for Academy members to be considered for any teams they are required to complete Level TWO of their British Showjumping NAF Pony Five Star Performance Awards.

There is an Academy Team Competition at Devon County Show in May, Bristol & Somerset are able to enter ONE team of FOUR Ponies that can jump a single fence course 1m high. The members chosen must have completed Level Two of the British Showjumping NAF Pony Five Star Performance Awards and attended Academy Sessions during the previous 12 months.
We hold our own Academy Team Competition in September at Chard Equestrian Centre and are also invited to other area’s Academy Competitions including a Central Academy Show at the National Championships in August.
With poor attendance of the Monthly Senior Academy Training over the winter months we are holding off booking any more sessions for 2018, but have opened up the U21 Academy Horse Sessions to all members.
