The British Showjumping Winter Classic Season has ARRIVED!

Wednesday 30 September 2026

The eagerly awaited Winter Classic action kicks off tomorrow (Thursday 1st October) with the first of British Showjumping’s ever popular premier series getting underway at Aintree International Equestrian Centre, where the very best action and competition is guaranteed.

With the Northern Region set to host four of the eight British Showjumping Winter Classics, Aintree provides a prominent opener, before the action shifts to another of the Region’s foremost venues, with Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre playing host to the second fixture in the series (29th October – 1st November).

Running throughout the Winter season, the schedule of each Winter Classic showcases the very best of the National Sport, with riders having the opportunity to qualify for the British Showjumping Winter Championships, held in March at Arena UK. More immediately, the country’s top young riders have the opportunity to gain a ticket for the prestigious and hotly contested Evoke Under 25 British Championships at London International Horse Show in December.

From Kelsall Hill the action moves North to Morris EC in Ayrshire, then South again to Arena UK and Hartpury University before taking its customary Christmas break, returning in the New Year.

The series returns to the North  on two more occasions in early 2027, with second bite of the Cherry at Kelsall Hill, before the final round at long established South View in Cheshire.

All British Showjumping’s Winter Classic Shows are streamed via the Clipmyhorse platform, providing the very best opportunity to watch all the action across the whole series  – further details are available via the British Showjumping website.
